This is a basic starter guide for chrontopia.

1) Open app
2) Select new theme
3) Name it
4) Select Size
5) Fill in other stuff (optional)
6) Tap editor
7) Long press screen select canvas
This is the only way I use it I never messed with stack or frame
depending on your screen size you may have to hit menu zoom then menu elements so you can
see the option below.
8)Highlight canvas
9) Long press screen again to select child element
For this example will do a simple clock
10) Select time then hour (Hours should be highlighted at the bottom)
11) Menu > properties
12) Select Text
13) Select font then tap import then find your desired font and import then tap installed and select it
14) Select font Size and adjust
15) Select Style Here you can add leading zero or show as word
15) tap colors tap foreground set color
16) To rotate the element select layout and then rotation you can use anything from 1 to 360
17) tap the element on the screen to make sure its highlighted now hold finger on screen and drag the element to position it
18) Menu>elements
19) Highlight canvas long press screen
20) select time minutes
from here follow the steps again. If you want the : then from the child elemnts select misc. and text

If you want to add a background highlight canvas long press screen select misc. image
then properties image tap import and nav. to image then tap installed and select it.
then tap layout stretch depending on what you are doing you can change it from hear
like none will show the image as its actual size. you can rotate the image under layout.
Under misc. you  can name the touch area (when you add the widget to home screen you will have
the option to select what to launch when image is touched) even though you can add more than one image you can only select one of them to launch even though it gives you the option to do more it doesn't work.

Things to remember are you can move thing up and down in the canvas by usuing the up and down buttons under elements so for example a alrge background should be the next one below canvas otherwise it will cover the other elements.
you can't add an entire app to chronotopia

This may sound trivial but the biggest key is getting used to tapping menu elements then select element then menu then properites this is the main part of being able to navigate around the editor.

This is by far a complete guid but should get you started
